ABOUT SAID INITIATIVE

Social Advocacy for integrated Development (SAID) is a vibrant non-state peace and development organization established in 2022 by Sadia Kuku Alzerik, with a mission to empower young girls and women in Kakuma Refugee Camp through livelihood and computer skills, with a focus on soap making, entrepreneurship, and Gender Based Violence (GBV) trainings. The major mandate of (SAID) is to contribute towards community development of the refuges and host communities through implementation of development projects in Turkana, Kenya.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • To facilitate community driven development, enhance resilience and promote access to alternative livelihoods.
  • To promote contemporary Women/Girl empowerment programs.
  • To promote the Technology and Digital access.
  • To empower women through entrepreneurship skills

We stand to contribute towards resolution of the inherent problems that affect the both women and young girls within the refugee camp. These targeted women and young girls need an equal opportunities, empowerment to live dignified lives and we them motivated to participate in own livelihood development in cross communities.
