ABOUT SAID
Social Advocacy for integrated Development (SAID) is a vibrant non-state peace and development organization established in 2022 by Sadia Kuku Alzerik a young vibrant lady pursuing her Bachelors of Art in Sustainable development with a group of other youths from Kakuma refugee camp with a special emphasis of empowering girls and young women through livelihoods and digital trainings. The major mandate of (SAID) is to contribute towards community development of the refuges and host communities through implementation of development projects in Turkana, Kenya.

SAID is engaging both internal and external like-minded partners, well-wishers and friends in crafting partnerships to benefit in need and vulnerable groups. SAID’s interest in the anticipated partnership is on aspects of joint organization of beneficiary communities, project implementation, sub-contracted assignments/implementation, and resource mobilization.

SAID envisions a community in where young girls and women have equal access to opportunities, are economically empowered, and are free from gender-based violence.
Mission
The mission of Social Advocacy for Integrated Development (SAID) is to empower young girls and women in Kakuma Refugee Camp through livelihood and computer skills, with a focus on soap making, entrepreneurship, and Gender Based Violence (GBV) trainings
TARGET POPULATION
SAID targets vulnerable and marginalized members of the community especially women and young girls with the aim of alleviating them from poverty and other undignified living conditions. Additionally, SAID seeks to empower multi-dimensionally poor through physical development, health, education, child protection, information, and sanitation. SAID’s current constituency covers Kakuma Refugee camp and a little extend to Kaloboyei settlement scheme.
